Italy and FAO launch the RAFAA initiative to strengthen climate resilience in Pakistan. The Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan signs the agreement
The Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan Marilina Armellin signed the agreement with FAO - the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations - to launch the Resilience and Adaptation Promoting Advance Actions (RAFAA) initiative. Funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, the intervention aims to strengthen the resilience of communities most exposed to the impacts of climate change in Pakistan.
ILO and AICS launch a partnership to promote sustainable employment and economic inclusion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The International Labour Organization (ILO), represented by Country Director Geir Tonstol, and the Ambassador of Italy, Marilina Armellin, in collaboration with AICS Islamabad, have launched a new partnership to promote just transitions and decent work in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in districts affected by recent floods.

Expression of Interest (EOI) for hiring of Consulting Firm to conduct a Study on “Reclamation of Land from Rivers of Gilgit-Baltistan”
In the framework of “ETI – Economic Transformation Initiative”, a comprehensive study is required to ascertain the potential of land reclamation of three pilot sites including hydraulic design of major river with maximum reclamation of agriculture land and its irrigation network. Deadline for submission: before 25 March, 2025 at 11:30 hrs (Pakistan time).
