Biography
Graduated in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Milan (2001–2004), he later specialized in Communication for Businesses and International Organizations at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2005–2007). He began his professional career as Communication and Information Officer at the Italian Cooperation Office in Bolivia, where he served from 2008 to 2015.
Between 2008 and 2020, he worked in Bolivia and Peru, primarily with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, while also serving as a consultant for FAO (2011–2012) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) (2015).
From 2016 onwards, he managed bilateral development cooperation programmes, with particular responsibility for concessional credit programmes, technical assistance initiatives, and projects in the fields of culture and cultural heritage, environment, health, and juvenile justice.
In October 2020, he joined the Headquarters of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in Rome, serving in Office III – Economic Opportunities and Development, where he was responsible for the Agency’s Migration and Development portfolio. During this period, he contributed to the drafting of the MAECI–AICS Guidelines on the Migration–Development Nexus, coordinated the National Diaspora Forum initiative, and participated in inter-institutional working groups on migration and development promoted by the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, and the National Council for Development Cooperation.
From 1 September 2023 to 27 July 2026, he served as Head of the AICS Office in El Salvador, with regional responsibility for Central America and the Small Island Developing States of the Caribbean.
