Eurovillage Pakistan 2024 was held last Saturday, 17th February with a large public participation and the involvement of 15 EU Member States present in Pakistan.
Food, culture, games, sport and several activities took place in the country stalls located in the outdoor area of the Jinnah Convention Center in Islamabad, along with additional attractions arranged by the European Union in Pakistan, that was the main organizer and sponsor of the event. On the main stage an official ceremony was convened at 3 PM, giving the floor to EU member states’ Ambassadors.
The event was an occasion to showcase also development programmes’ achievements to the general public.
Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo participated with 2 flagship projects selected to highlight the 2024 Eurovillage theme SUSTAINABLE FUTURE. “OliveCulture” and “Glaciers and Students” teams engaged with public during the entire event, informing about goals and achievements of the projects. K2 peak and olive tree cutouts offered a taste of the natural landscapes that surround the project areas, while quiz games and a ballot allowed people to win olive trees. In addition, information material were distributed.
